Hello Friend,
For as long as I can remember, I have loved coloring. I also love celebrating my birthday, and have an annual tradition of renting a beach house with a group of friends for my birthday weekend. These loves dovetailed one year when I brought a large coloring poster with me, along with the usual games and puzzles.
The coloring was such a huge hit, we neglected most other diversions, and we now do a different poster every year.
We’ve had passionate discussions about which color combo is our favorite, whether or not to leave white space (still hotly debated), and how to deal with the occasional scribbler (usually wait until they’re gone and then gently update their section, or in extreme cases, when they deliberately tried to ruin the poster, ban them from future gatherings, but that’s a story for another time).
We’ve tried many different art supplies like Crayola markers, gel pens, colored pencils, and Sharpies. But then one magical day, someone brought a handful of Prismacolor dual-ended markers and we marveled at the gorgeous colors and coverage. They are rather pricey, but once you get a taste, it’s hard to go back to anything else. We have slowly added to the collection over time.
I love doing this with a group because it’s relaxing, it’s an easy way to be social (or not that social if you don’t feel like chatting), and it’s really fun to see how everyone’s individual contributions blend together as a whole.
In any case, I’ve been wanting to make a coloring book of my own for a very long time! (I also want to create a coloring poster, but I’m going to start with the less intimidating project first.)
With that in mind, I’m launching some new features for paid subscribers. Once a month I’ll send out a coloring page of a black and white drawing that you’ll be able to download and color if you wish.
Here’s a breakdown of the features for every level:
FREE: Two to three public posts per month, new product announcements, and access to comments section and archives.
PAID: All of the above, plus a coloring page 1x per month, sneak peeks at new projects and products, and eligible to enter giveaways.
FOUNDER: All of the above, a handmade thank you card from me, and my heartfelt gratitude!
For this first coloring book post, I’m keeping it public so everyone can see a sample coloring page.
To print, right click and save the image. Print on an 8.5 x 11 paper, without margins. (when I tested just opening the image in a new web tab, it printed too small, but saving it first seems to preserve the original sizing). A thicker paper like card stock is recommended if you’re going to use alcohol based markers, otherwise regular paper is usually fine for pencils or water based markers.
Please let me know how it goes for you if you download and I’d love to hear any other feedback.
Hope you’re having a lovely day.

The Jungle Fantasy Colorlng Book is a wonder to behold. The hues and the composition are genius. What a great idea to have it be a group project. Thanks for sharing this.
Nothing like friends and a dog nearby while working on a project.
