Hi Friend,
Sorry for the lapse between newsletters, I’ve been in a Santa’s workshop of my own making, creating ornaments to sell for the holidays. I was hesitant to share this because I didn’t want to be someone who starts talking about Christmas in September, but as it turns out, I am that person. More on this soon.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting SFMOMA and it was so nice to be surrounded by art and also inside of art as was the case with Olafur Eliasson’s “One-way colour tunnel,” and an infinity mirror room by Yayoi Kusama called “Dreaming of Earth’s Sphericity, I Would Offer My Love.”

In other news, I did another gouache painting tutorial.
I like this style of painting black silhouettes with high contrast colors. It’s giving orange and purple Halloween vibes, so I guess some part of me is trying to embrace that holiday early as well?
I have a hard time letting go of summer, especially the lovely, long summer nights. I’m not a fan of when it gets dark early and the weather turns colder. (And before you give me a hard time about how I live in California and our winters are nothing, trust me, I’ve heard it all before, and I’m unwavering in my opinion!)
I do enjoy all of the seasonal fruits and vegetables at the farmers market, so I’m trying to focus on my appreciation of that to get me through. Do you feel the same? Or are you a sweater weather aficionado?
Hope you’re having a lovely day.
xo
