Tanya…. Those beautiful trees are still growing!! Btw what does the top of a birch tree look like. Ha, my little brain has flipped through the pages and we couldn’t find any birch trees with tops. Hmm I’m going to find some…. I can’t wait to see what others create! Happy days 🌻
Really interesting to see the process and beautiful results (i prefer the first one). I often use this masking technique in my ceramics, but my brain struggles with picturing things backwards so to speak. But it’s always worth the effort when you pull back that tape or, in my case, paper. Watercolor is a difficult medium, thank you for sharing 🙏🏽
Ohhh! I've seen this done but I love the messiness of your creation, not everything has to be perfect, I suffer from perfectionism--was told once it was the worst form of self-abuse! OH my head! ever since, I have struggled with allowing my perfect im-perfection to shine thru. Love all your attempts and now I feel inspired to try this!
You know, you may be on to something…maybe they don’t have tops! 😁
Getn' ready for Arbor/Earth day. "I speak for the trees".
Ah, good point! Maybe I’ll do another tree for that. 😊🌳

Thank you Sara! My brain has a hard time picturing things backwards too, so I'm always somewhat surprised by the results. 😊

Thanks Gail, I'm so glad you're inspired, I hope you try it! I keep having to re-learn that things don't need to be perfect. 😊
Thanks for the very cool tip and taking us through the process. I love all of these.
Thank you Rebecca! ☺️
It’s so interesting to see the effect of zooming in/out! Love it!
Thank you! 😊
Thank you Alan!
