Not my own (as amazing as that would be!), but I buy specialist teas that aren't usually available outside China. And when the tea leaves make an accidental face, I post them on Instagram as #teamoji
Hi Tanya - we're many miles apart but we're doing the same thing, looking at leaves. Looking at the shapes, the colours and the interplay between neighbouring plants. I find it fascinating and I can tell so do you.
As and herbalist, (amongst other titles), I notice in the second picture what looked to be a young curly dock surrounded by what will soon be flowering Nasturtiums?
When I was regaining strength in my right hip and leg after an accidental hip replacement 16 months ago, I filled up my phones camera with variations of leaves, flowers, and weeds—which by any other name is an herb. (Or my lunch!) 😉
I too do line drawings in ink mostly—with pencil—I’m forever erasing, so with a pen, I’m committed, flaws and all. Some I will paint using water color. I taught myself all this during covid. Then during my many healing walks, I started picking up pieces of plastics, cans, leaves, feathers and other ephemera and got into doing jelly prints with them. Those are a lot of fun if you’ve not tried them yet.
I loved the title to your post, and your painting and pictures. 🤗
Thank you for the kind words. 😊 Yes, those are nasturtiums! They grow wild all around this area. I haven't tried jelly prints yet, but love the idea of being able to use a more environmentally friendly medium like that.
Tea is my one big hobby, so the leaves are where it's at! 🍃💚🍃
Nice! Do you grow your own tea?

Love the painting!
Thank you! 😊

Thank you Carol! 😊
Hi Tanya! I too photograph leaves and differing aspects of nature! Will send my pics to you as able. Live in NE and spring just tumbled in ha!
Very nice. I’m sure the foliage is beautiful year round!
I love leaves and I use them in my art by printing with them. Yes, let's see more leaves!
Leaves are beautiful. Weeds are beautiful. But it's ok to weed them out the formal beds.
I like things a little wild too! ☺️
